The Reading Public Library Foundation is an official partner with CommunityAid, a locally-owned and operated thrift store operation committed to supporting over 500+ local nonprofits through donations and sales.
Our partnership means you can support the Reading Public Library Foundation by dropping off gently used items at any CommunityAid donation center to benefit our library. Just be sure to name Reading Public Library Foundation or our Partner Code, 50343, at the time of your donation. We receive 13 cents per pound of items donated!
How you can help:
1. Gather up any items you would like to donate! You can find guidelines for what CommunityAid accepts on their website.
2. When you arrive to drop off your donation at the store, be sure to credit RPL to the CommunityAid employee accepting your donation. Our partner number is 50343, or you can state it is for the Reading Public Library Foundation.
3. Tell your friends, family and coworkers about the program! Don’t forget to think of CommunityAid and our partner number whenever you clean out closets, dressers, garages and more!
