Interlibrary Loan Service (ILL)

An Interlibrary Loan is a free service for requesting books your library does not own. Adult patrons may make up to 5 interlibrary loan requests at one time. All you need is a RPL or Berks County Public Library card.*

Some restrictions apply:

  • Textbook loans are for In Library Use Only and are loaned for a period of four weeks.
  • E-Card holders are not eligible for Interlibrary Loan services.

* Patrons are financially responsible for damage to or loss of an Interlibrary Loan item. As with the circulation records of libraries, Interlibrary Loan requests are held in the strictest confidence.

Approximately 14-21 business days.

Lending periods are determined by the lending library, and are usually 2-4 weeks. One renewal can be applied where permitted.
