No. You do not need to be a Reading city resident to participate in any of our programs.
No. You do not need a library card to participate in our programs or challenges. However, we encourage you to sign up for a library card to access our entire collection of books, movies, music, and online resources.
Stop into any of the 4 RPL library branches to pick up your summer reading passport.
Children under age 9 must be accompanied by a responsible adult, defined as a person 18 years of age or older. The parent or caregiver must remain with the child at all times during the Library visit. Children ages 9 to 17 may use the Library unattended provided they adhere to the rules and policies of the Library. Since the library is not a licensed day care facility, a child may be asked to leave the library after a 4 hour stay.
