Fines & Fees

How It Works

We are now a Fine Free library*, but Fees for lost or damaged items still apply. Here’s how it works:

Days 1-29 after the due date:
Your item is overdue. Good news! We are not charging for overdue fines. As long as you return your items before the 30th day from the due date you will not be assessed any fines.

Day 30 after the due date:
Your item is now considered LOST and you will be assessed a Replacement Fee for the cost of the book. Damaged Fees will also be assessed.

*Does not apply to museum passes, or items that are lost, damaged or borrowed from non-participating libraries. Contact a librarian to see if your current fines apply.
