Storytelling Through Dance 2019

July 27 | 12 pm on The Steps @ Main Library

Free Event – General Admission Seating

For the fourth year, Barrio Alegria has partnered with Reading Public Library to engage community members through the arts, creating opportunities for participants to explore self-limiting beliefs and gain leadership skills. This fourth annual Storytelling through Dance presentation, Where the Trees Walk, will tell the story of a child who is separated from her parents after the family flees their war-torn country.

Over 45 participants will tell the story through 14 dance choreographies in this premiere performance. Live music will be provided by Musical Acts of Kindness Society (M.A.K.S.) featuring Matthew Bailey, Tony Veloz, and David Hall.

No charge for admission and seating is general admission on The Steps @ Main Library.

To enhance your experience:
Bring water and hand fans. The steps are usually sunny and warm.
