While we are excited to welcome back patrons, we are issuing the following plea to the public:
If you or someone in your household has COVID-19 symptoms or has been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days, please do not come to Reading Public Library. You could shut us down again for 2 weeks.
Adhering to the guidelines of the City of Reading and PA Office of Commonwealth Libraries, the following standards of safety will be in place:
- Mandatory mask wearing
- Social distancing of at least 6’
- Occupancy limited to 50%
- Every other computer only available for use
- Children’s Library play areas closed
- Restrooms and drinking fountains closed
In order to serve as many people as possible, visits will be restricted to two hours per day at Main library and 90 minutes at branch libraries.
